Telling the Story Behind None For Me
An Honest Conversation About Sobriety with Mocktail Mom
Recently, I had the privilege of joining Deb, better known as The Mocktail Mom, on her Thriving Alcohol-Free Podcast. I’m grateful she created the space for a thoughtful, unhurried conversation about sobriety, entrepreneurship, and what it really looks like to build a life without alcohol.
Deb has a way of asking questions that feel both direct and generous. She allowed me to share the full arc of my story, from struggling privately for years, to founding Seir Hill, to writing The View from a Windowless Basement, and launching None For Me as a home for people who don’t quite fit inside traditional recovery models.
Deb has done meaningful work in the alcohol-free space, especially for people who want something celebratory and intentional on the other side of drinking. I’m thankful she invited me on and gave me the opportunity to tell my story in my own words.
